REVIEW: Miner's Matte Factor

Tada! This lippies are heaven for me. I'm really a fan of matte lippies eversince. I think it compliments which I consider pouty (naks) lips that I have. Introducing Miner's Matte Factor Lip Paints. My favorite brand/product to date!

I bought these items for Php1,200 (I got Php600 discount from visiting their bazaar and luckily I am one of the 30 make up junkies who have availed the said promo). Individually, it's around Php300 but I swear to this product that the lipstick's worth the price. And because I really love this product I made these personal swatches myself.

Here are the available colors:

Here are the pictures of swatches with and without flash:

Miners Matte Factor Lip Paint Pros and Cons
PROS:
-it really gives you a matte finish like any other product can't (some matte lippies said they're matte but when you apply it, it will still give you a slight glossy effect)
-lasts for hours (can't really say how long but base on my on experience, I find it hard to remove also)
-6 exciting colors to choose from (my personal favorites are warm red and hot pink)
-it comes with own personal brush so no need to use any lip brush, and it's very easy to apply, plus no need to retouch!
-you have to twist the cap to open which is a plus factor for me unlike any other lippies that you have to pull up the cover. Why it is a plus factor for me? I can carry it anywhere without worrying that it might stain my pockets or make up bag.
-affordable price: it only costs me Php300 (and you might be lucky like me to buy these 6 lippies for Php1200, that's 33% off)
CONS:
-a quick change of lip color is not that possible with this product as this is hard to remove
-for me, it takes time to dry.
-if you're experiencing from having a chappy lips, it is not a good idea to use this product as this dries up your lips, too. if you really want to use this product, I suggest that you brush your lips first to get rid of dead lips skin (I really don't know what they call it) or use a clear lip gloss/balm (I match it with my Max Factor's Lip Balm with Vit. E) but still it gives me a matte effect. The use of Clear Lip Balms is to prevent lips from drying which causes the chapping of lips.
-be careful with applying this product, it stains that you have to remove your make up and retouch again. same with the clothing. :)

Each weigh at 5ml but this little junkie is so easy to apply that you don't have to make multiple application to achieve the desire lip color.

Where did I got them?: For orders or to view their varieties of make ups from US and UK, click Make Up Hub by Naturele Collezione.

Rating it from 1-5 (1 lowest and 5 being the highest), I gave this lippies a grade of 4.5

I hope my review helps you in purchasing the right product.

With Love.

REVIEW: 4U2's DREAM GIRL LOVE PINK: Faith BB Cream and Lovelight BB Powder SPF PA++

Hey. I'm back. Sorry it took me long time to make another review.

I'm never this excited to make a review about 4U2's products. What  interests me in purchasing this product is because of the influence of my good friend Mitch, a high school friend and my mentor in this blogging thing, check out her blogs mitchiekyuti. I've read a good review about this product in her blog entries (check the blog here) and knowing it won't costs me high in purchasing this product, I decided that why won't I give it a try. I never had a BB Cream (although many of beauty bloggers recommend of using one instead of a liquid foundation), I'm still not decided before if I will purchase one or not because what I want in a make-up is the full coverage effect on my face (I have blemishes that I need to cover) and having lots of liquid foundation on my make up kit, I think it's a waste to buy one. So while my son is having his Judo classes in Technofit Tutuban, I accidentally dropped by in Watson's and saw the 4U2's products being displayed near the entrance. I immediately picked out these products to see if it's worth to have those in my beauty kit.

4U2 DREAMGIRL FAITH BB CREAM

This is my first BB Cream and I'm glad I purchased this one. It only comes with one shade (universal shade) that blends easily with the BB Powder of the same product name. It weigh around 30 ml. I apply this one using my fingers as my skin easily absorbs it.

BB Cream Pros and Cons:
PROS:
- Easy to apply, easy to wear.
- What I love about this product is since I'm suffering from an oily skin, I don't feel oily at all, and I don't perspire that much.
- Base on my personal experience, I don't need to retouch.
- it smells good
- applying too much of this product on your face won't give you a cakey finish unlike to liquid foundation does to your face.
- its very light you can barely feel you're wearing something on your face
- I don't need to put on a concealer on my eye area and other blemish/dark spots/acne to cover it
- The container size fits perfectly to your pocket so you can bring it anywhere
- it comes with an expiration date
- Price wise: it costs me around 184 pesos.
CONS:
- Since this one have only one shade to offer, applying this alone (without the BB Powder), I would definitely look like stupid as this one when applied on my face is very light (or whiter) than my usual skin color. (the reason I haven't tried this alone, must apply it with the BB powder to match it with my skin color)

*I haven't tried this product without the powder on so all reviews are based on having this one and bb powder both on my face.

4U2 DREAMGIRL LOVELIGHT BB POWDER SPF 15 PA ++

I never heard of BB Powder and if it wasn't for Mitchie, I will still be clueless up to now. This product is a heaven for me, and yeah, I'm willing to trade my other make up powder for this one. It weighs around 7g and the powder comes in a compact size, with sponge and a mirror so this product is always on the go.

BB Powder Pros and Cons:
PROS:
- The shade matches perfectly on my skin complexion
- Like what I've said earlier, I don't have to put on a concealer to cover some of my facial impurities.
- With its compact size, yeah you can bring it anywhere that it can fit to your pocket perfectly. It comes with a mirror so you can do retouching anytime, anywhere.
- No retouching (I usually do some retouching when my skin gets oily or when the powder washed off when I perspire too much)
- doesn't give you a cakey finish
- it blends well with the bb cream of the same product name
- what it says in the packaging is it has SPF 15 which is a must have for morning make up.
- smooth finish
- it comes with an expiration date
- Price wise: it costs me around 194 pesos.
CONS:
- It only comes with three shades to offer so if you're very particular with the shade color, you'll get a bit disappointed. (luckily, shade #3 matches my skin color)
- If I'll be very particular with my facial impurities, I think I'll be needing the BB Cream underneath.

*I've tried this product without the BB cream on but I still prefer to use the both of them. Never tried this using a liquid foundation of another product.

EFFECT:

Looking at my fingers as my natural skin color, you can see that the BB cream itself is way too lighter than my natural skin color, and applying the bb cream then the bb powder, it now matches perfectly with my complexion.

I will definitely purchase again and I highly recommend this product. By the way, I heard this product sells like pancakes so if you spot one make sure you buy 2!

Rating it from 1-5 (1 lowest and 5 being the highest), I gave 4U2 BB Cream a grade of 4.5-5 (I can't really decide, haha, so there's a bracket) and the 4U2 BB Powder a perfect score of 5.

I hope my review will help you in purchasing the right product.

With Love.

FACE-OFF: Maybeline's Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner Vs. Tony Moly's Liquid Gel Liner

It's my first time to make a face-off review. Obviously. Hihihi.

Making a review on different gel liners in 2 different colors: And I hope I can be able to justify it's pros and cons even though I am showcasing 2 different colors.

Here is the Maybeline's Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in 01 Black:

Maybelline's Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner Pros and Cons:
PROS:
-Long lasting. As it says in it's packaging that smudge-proof and water proof.
-Dries up fast.
-a package of this product always comes with a brush. Unlikely to other gel liners.
-Brush tip is excellent! I can create a thin line with this one. And the brush comes with a cover
-doesn't irritate the eyes
-first apply and I already achieve the color I desire
-price wise: it costs me around P449
-can buy this to any top selling department stores
CONS:
-Since the brush applicator is separated, you really have to take care of it or else you'll purchase another brush again.
-what I hate about smudge-proof and water-proof products are you really have to use a make-up remover as it doesn't easily remove by soap and water and facial cleanser.
-it doesn't smudge around the upper lid area but applying this one in your lower lid area, especially when you have teary eyes, it smudges a little. Don't put too much or else you'll look horrible.

And Tony Moly's Gel Eyeliner in Brown: Packaging

Tony Moly's Gel Liner Pros and Cons:
PROS:
-smudge-proof and water-proof
-the package comes with cover and the brush is connected to the gel liner's cover, plus the brush can be extended. this is totally a handy gel liner kit unlike to Maybelline's Gel Liner.
-This one doesn't smudge (or smudge less than the other product) when I apply this on my lower eyelid.
-Price wise: it costs me P400. You can purchase this one in https://www.facebook.com/szakiyahs.online.shop
-doesn't irritate the eyes
-can be easily remove by soap and water
CONS:
-it takes a little longer than Maybelline's gel liner to dry
-the brush is thicker than of Maybelline's Gel liner that it makes it harder to manage than the other one.
-I have to apply more to achieve the color I desire.

Here are the swatches: (sorry for the poor quality as I am using my cellphone only)

What I want in a make-up (since I'm not really good at eye make-ups) is it should be handy, long-lasting, easy to apply and easy to remove.

Rating it from 1-5 (1 lowest and 5 being the highest), I gave Maybelline's Lasting Drama a grade of 4 and Tony Moly's Gel Eyeliner a grade of 4.5

I hope my review helps you in purchasing the right product.

With Love.

REVIEW: Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

I went a little shopping a while ago and in order to complete my 3,000 pesos purchase (using Metrobank card, I can pay it through 6 months installment) and I found one of my weakness which is the "make-up". This is called the Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain from Revlon (Revlon's new lippies) and I swear to this product. It's very light, very fresh-looking, very natural and it won't harass your lips.

I purchased the Romantic/Romantique Shades and it looks very natural on my lips. Perfect for everyday make-up. Or even w/o make up. It has a cooling effect and although the wet effect (every balm has this kind of effect) is gone, the stain is still on your lips. Here are the colors and swatches I grabbed.

Beauty Geek UK

Pearls and Poodles

Physical appearance is like of a twist-able crayon so no need for a sharpener. You just have to twist it until you reach its dead end.

Here are the pros and cons of this product:
PROS:
- it has a cooling effect
-no taste (I consider it as a pro since I'm not really a fan of balms that has flavor)
-great for everyday wear with or without make up
-its color doesn't wear off easily
-smells good (I'm always a fan of minty flavor/odor)
-considerable price: around 500+pesos and it comes with a pocket mirror with normal and magnified in each sides. (it depends upon the retailer)
CONS:
-I also consider as a con that this product doesn't wear off easily especially when you want to change your lip color or when you want to go to bed without your lipstick/balm on.
-when the balm wears off, I don't like the feeling of it dries up my lips maybe because of the lasting color effect of this product.

Rating it from 1-5 (1 lowest and 5 being the highest), I gave this lippies/balm a grade of 4.5

I hope my review helps you in purchasing the right product.
